When we started this web site, we weren't going to add anything about our abuse.  There was a few reasons for this, we didn't want to be defined in relation to the abuse, we were still struggling with denial and acceptance of being being a survivor.  This combined to form the decision to keep these pages free from abuse.  But once again changes happened within the community.   A growing acceptance of our past, as well as the realisation that we are true survivors, people fighting to recover from a past that was horrifically abusive.  We can't deny it, nor can we say it didn't influence  the people we became.  Recently there has been a growing desire to tell the world what we lived through, to break the silence of a secret that wasn't ours to keep.  This is what these pages are for.

We are not our abuse, but the abuse is a part of who we are.
